Environmental Impact

At WildHearts we believe that business can and must be a force for good. We exist to put people and planet first.  From teaching The UN SDGs in schools across the UK, to holding The World’s Largest Youth-Led Sustainability Summit, all of our impact is aligned to sustainable development – locally and globally.

By partnering with leading authorities like Carbon Footprint UK and B Corp, we receive industry-leading expertise – ensuring our operations and activities remain best in class as we support our customers on their sustainability journey. We are proud to have established ourselves as thought leaders in sustainability and to be inspiring others to follow in our footsteps.

THE UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an urgent call to action to combat the pressing environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. The SDGs are at the heart of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a global commitment to transform our world by 2030, and we are determined to play our part in making this happen.

At WildHearts, we recognise that the SDGs have become the global common language for responsible business, and we are committed to mapping our impact directly to this framework.

Through our impact programmes, and embedding sustainability into our core business activities, we address more than 50% of the United Nations SDGs. Working closely with our partners, we ensure that our impact creates positive change and contributes towards building the world a better future.

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION

The WildHearts Schools Programme provides young people with the Inspiration, Knowledge and Networks they need to thrive, regardless of their background. By inspiring them to create sustainable, innovative solutions to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we help to prepare the responsible citizens of the future.

We teach young people about the importance of the UN SDGs, and what people are doing, in their communities and around the world to help address social and environmental issues. Not only does this help inspire young people to create their own ideas, WildHearts also provides a framework that helps them execute those ideas.

WildHearts work closely with schools to bring their ideas to life, helping many of them reduce food waste, reduce or eradicate single-use plastics, and implement solutions to promote biodiversity.

NET ZERO TRANSITION 2030

As part of our Net Zero 2030 commitment, we are working closely with Carbon Footprint to assess and reduce our carbon emissions. As we accelerate our transition, we will continue to offset our existing emissions, as part of our Carbon Neutral+ status.

Achieving Carbon Neutral Plus+ is a major milestone for our business and represents an industry first for both operations and deliveries. In the implementation of our sustainability strategy, we are focusing on transparency and continuity. Above all, however, we regard sustainability not as an additional activity, but rather as a core element of our existence.

We will continue to explore ways we can reduce our carbon footprint, working closely with our customers and partners. We are proud that in the last year alone, we have achieved a 25% carbon reduction across our business.
